Japan Caravan cultural exchange programme will be held in Kohima on March 7 and the 8th.

DIMAPUR — The Japanese Embassy, New Delhi, in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and the Department of Art & Culture, Government of Nagaland, is organising the ‘Japan Caravan’ cultural exchange programme at the State Academy of Music & Dance Hall, Kohima, on March 7 and the 8th.
According to Teisovikuolie Therie, deputy director-cum-nodal officer, ICCR, Department of Art and Culture, the Japan Caravan aims to showcase the cultural heritage of Japan and promote cultural exchange between Japan and Nagaland.
Therie stated that the programme will feature Japanese cultural performances, demonstrations and interactive sessions, including Japanese language, calligraphy and anime film screenings.
The event will also provide a platform for local Naga artists to showcase their talent with performances of traditional Naga dances.

Additionally, the programme will offer consultancy services for local youth interested in pursuing studies in Japan.
“We are excited to share Japanese culture with the people of Nagaland and learn about their vibrant traditions,” said a representative from the Japanese Embassy.
“This program is a great opportunity to foster cultural understanding and people-to-people connections between Japan and India,” Therie said.
The Japan Caravan is open to the public, and all citizens have been invited to participate and experience the cultural exchange between Japan and Nagaland.
The event has been scheduled at 2 pm on both days.
