DIMAPUR — The Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025 in Phek, which began on November 4, concluded on Thursday with the finals of arm wrestling, table tennis and badminton for both men and women, held at the Badminton Stadium, Phek.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, special guest Enyiwekho Wezah, Divisional Forest Officer, thanked the district administration led by the deputy commissioner, tournament organisers, heads of offices, participants and staff from various departments for their cooperation. He said the tournament was not only about playing games but also about easing the stress of daily duties and building better relationships among colleagues.
In his closing remarks, Yhunkolo Kath, Executive Engineer, Water Resources, said unity and friendship were the spirit of the tournament, adding that participation mattered more than winning.
The programme was chaired by Kulo Kezo, District Employment Officer, and featured a special number by Ruveno Huire. The closing prayer was offered by Wavitho Nyuwi, pastor of Pochury Baptist Church, Phek Town, according to an update.
