IBAPWO conducts career guidance workshop for 40 students in Pungro to assist them with career planning.
DIMAPUR — The Integrated Border Area People's Welfare Organisation (IBAPWO) organised a career guidance workshop for students of Pungro town on September 26 at PACSU Hall in Pungro town under Kiphire district. A total of 40 students participated in the workshop.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Noyingbini T Erui, Director and Founder of Erui Design; Pentsumong Wilson, Career Facilitator at Antarang Foundation; and N Apong, Chief Functionary.
According to a press release, the first session was facilitated by Pentsumong Wilson, who spoke on making career decisions based on students' interests, abilities, and realities. He introduced students to various diploma programmes and training opportunities available for their future.
The second session was conducted by Dr. Noyingbini T Erui, who began with an ice-breaking activity. She spoke on the importance of both hard skills and soft skills in building a successful career, while sharing personal experiences and encouraging students to make informed decisions.

The closing session was facilitated by N Apong, who focused on students interested in the science stream. He explained different subject combinations available after the High School Leaving Certificate examinations and highlighted the importance of entrance examinations such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
He also shared information on career opportunities open to science students.
