Health personnel in Longleng undergo training on U-Mentor application and review routine immunisation plans.
DIMAPUR — A one-day district-level training on the U-Mentor application for medical officers, district programme managers, district community mobilisers, block programme managers, and block accounts coordinators, alongside a district Routine Immunisation Microplan review, was convened at the chief medical officer's (CMO) conference hall in Longleng on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Imtijungshi Aier, District Programme Officer (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health Plus Nutrition), stated that the U-Mentor application is a digital initiative by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare designed to strengthen the Universal Immunisation Programme through real-time monitoring and on-the-job mentorship of frontline health workers.
He said the training focused on leveraging the platform to improve field-level guidance, strengthen programme oversight, support supportive supervision planning, monitor data analysis and timely corrective action, as well as enhance the quality of routine immunisation services across the district.

During the Routine Immunisation Microplan review session, Dr. Aier highlighted that the primary objectives were to evaluate current performance, streamline data collection, and address microplanning gaps across all health units.
The session also covered discussions on inclusive microplanning, reporting formats, accurate headcount surveys, and desk reviews of the routine immunisation microplan.
