DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NNC (AB) council of kilonsers, army wings, and tatars, in its emergency meeting held on August 31, condemned SS Pongkho and his group for attempting to tarnish the image of the organisation and its kilo kilonser Kitoho H Zhimomi, who had joined the “founder of GPRN/NNC (AB).”
In a press release, the GPRN/NNC (AB) stated that Pongkho, who had already been terminated by all groups of NNPG for “moral degradation, financial corruption, and dictatorial behaviour,” has no authority to use the name of GPRN/NNC (AB).
“His repeated attempts to meddle in the Naga national movement and discredit the organisation are acts of frustration and self-interest,” it stated.
The group reminded all Naga national workers that the lives and sacrifices made by thousands of dedicated national workers must be honoured and revered.

“No individual should shamelessly exploit their legacy for personal gain. Pongkho’s act of appointing his own self-styled general secretaries and kilonsers to mislead the public only reflects his desperation after being ousted.
“Furthermore, his claim of attending FNR meetings as a personal achievement is misleading, as he was only allowed to participate when he was still an official representative of GPRN/NNC (AB), prior to his impeachment and termination,” the release stated.
With reference to the alleged incident Pongkho mentioned in the media on August 21, the group clarified that his allegations are baseless and concocted solely to malign the good image of GPRN/NNC (AB).
“The GPRN/NNC (AB) cautions all concerned to disregard such false claims and reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the honour and integrity of the national movement,” it added.
