CNCCI commends police
In response, the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) lauded Dimapur Police for their prompt and commendable action in rescuing the ‘four kidnapped businessmen.’
In a statement, the chamber demanded strict action against the culprits to ensure severe punishment and deter future incidents.
The chamber said such proactive action not only restores public confidence but also ensures a safe and conducive environment for the business community.

“It is, however, a known fact that many such incidents have occurred but often go unreported due to fear, threats, and intimidation. The kidnapping and summoning of businessmen to various camps has, regrettably, become a recurring issue.
“It is understandable that both the business community and the general public often feel helpless in the face of such actions by armed groups, fearing for their lives and the safety of their family members,” the statement read.
The CNCCI urged the Dimapur Police to publicly name individuals and groups involved in such ‘anti-national activities,’ carried out in the name of the Naga national movement.
