DIMAPUR — The Research and Development Cell of Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, organised a workshop on "Writing a Research Paper I" at the college conference hall on Saturday.
According to an update, the workshop aimed to promote research and strengthen academic writing skills among faculty and students.
Delivering the keynote address, Associate Professor and IQAC Coordinator Bendangsenla highlighted the importance of teaching students research paper writing and encouraged faculty members to engage more actively in research and academic writing.
Vice Principal LS Vinod Kumar also highlighted the need for increased research and publication among faculty members.
The workshop sessions were conducted by five faculty members who spoke on different aspects of research writing.

Dr. E Benrithung Patton, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, spoke on "Understanding Research and Scientific Research", while Dr. P Tia Mollier, Associate Professor in the Department of Botany, spoke on "Role of Empiricism in Academic Research".
Dr. Adangla Changkija, Associate Professor and HoD of Sociology, spoke on "Literature Review: Concepts and Methods".
Dr. J Limainla Ao, Assistant Professor of History, spoke on "Preparing an Effective Abstract and Selecting Keywords", and Dr. Jnanendra Sarma, Assistant Professor of Geography, spoke on "Writing a Research Report/Paper".
The sessions were followed by a question-and-answer session.
