DIMAPUR — Alder College celebrated its 33rd freshers’ day at Dr. Setu Memorial Hall, Alder College, Kohima, on Monday, with MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso as the guest of honour.
According to a DIPR report, Dr. Rhütso, in his speech, conveyed that education is the most vital part of one’s life for achieving success, citing the famous phrase, ‘Try ignorance if you think education is expensive’. He further stressed the importance of holistic education to enhance skills and refine oneself.
He highlighted his background and the struggles he faced during his student years, stating that dedication towards one’s aim in life is most important, alongside time management and a positive attitude.
He further encouraged the students to work diligently and graduate as capable individuals rather than mere degree holders, noting that while there may be endless possibilities, nothing comes easily.
