DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Senior and Retired Doctors Association (NSRDA) held its meeting-cum-picnic at Duolhou Garden, Kohima, on September 30. Around 60 retired doctors from across the state attended the gathering.

According to a press release, the meeting was addressed by Dr. L M Murry, Dr. Dietho Angami, and Dr. Deitsolo Kapfo.

Dr. Murry, 94 years old and the oldest living doctor in the state, gave an exhortation. In his address, he observed that times had changed significantly, noting that during his time in service, the government used to provide free treatment, medicines, and food to patients, whereas now patients are required to purchase everything themselves.

He expressed concern over how patients could afford such expenses.

During the meeting, new office bearers were elected for the 2025–2027 session. They are Dr. Neiphi Kire (president), Dr. Thorsie Katiri (vice president), Dr. Vikato Kinimi (general secretary), Dr. Neisietsolie Savino (joint secretary), Dr. Lima Jamir (treasurer), Dr. K. Hoshi (press secretary), Dr. Nicky Kire (advisor) and Dr. Nandira Changkija (advisor).
