Dimapur 24/7 and DISHA conducted an HIV & AIDS awareness programme at Eden Higher Secondary School.
DIMAPUR — Dimapur 24/7 Foundation, in collaboration with the District Integrated Strategy for HIV/AIDS (DISHA), Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur, conducted an HIV & AIDS awareness programme at Eden Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, on Tuesday.
According to an update, the programme was conducted under the leadership of Chairperson of Dimapur 24/7 Annie Jain and was held on the theme “Awareness today, protection for tomorrow". More than 300 students attended the programme.
The awareness session was led by District Programme Officer of DISHA Orenthung Ngullie, who spoke to the students about HIV transmission, prevention, testing, and the importance of seeking correct information and support.
He also addressed common misconceptions surrounding HIV & AIDS and highlighted the need to prevent stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV.

The session was followed by an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students raised questions and sought clarification on various aspects of HIV & AIDS.
The organisation expressed appreciation to Eden Higher Secondary School, DISHA, and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur, for their cooperation and support in conducting the programme.
Dimapur 24/7 stated that it will continue to undertake community-orientated initiatives aimed at promoting awareness, understanding, and responsible choices on important social and public health issues.
