KOHIMA — Director General of Police (DGP) Rupin Sharma flagged off the Nagaland Police contingent for the National Motorcycle Rally – Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2026 at the Police Headquarters in Kohima on Wednesday.
The team will travel for 21 days, covering approximately 2,845 kilometres across seven states: Nagaland, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.
Flagging off the contingent, the DGP encouraged the members to explore places en route and added that the expedition will serve as an opportunity to mingle with police personnel from other states.
For the purpose of this expedition, PHQ recently purchased five Royal Enfield 350 cc motorcycles on which the police personnel will be riding. Prior to that, the Nagaland Police did not have any Royal Enfield motorcycles, he informed.
