DEF Mon emerged as the overall winner of the 12th Inter Departmental Tournament in Mon organised by Officers’ Club Mon.

DIMAPUR — The 12th Inter Departmental Tournament, organised by the Officers’ Club Mon, concluded at the Officers’ Club Mon on March 21, with Superintendent of Police (SP) of Mon, Kanchan Kumar Kanpal, attending as the special guest.
Addressing the gathering, the special guest extended his gratitude to the organising committee and stated that such tournaments foster a sense of oneness and create memorable events to cherish. He assured that the Police Department will support organising such events in the future.
According to a DIPR report, District Executive Force (DEF) Mon emerged as the overall winner, while the District Education Officer (DEO) Mon bagged the runner-up title.
In the Men's Single Badminton, L Lokshem from DEF and Chemkhah Y Konyak from the 6th NAP won. In Women’s Singles, Yaom B Konyak from Youth Resources and Function from the District Administration were declared the winners.

In Mixed Doubles, Lima Pongen and Ngonlem from Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) and Wakem and Thronlem from DEO secured the top spots. In Men's Double, Chemkhah Y Konyak and M Samuel Yim from the 6th NAP, and M Elang Konyak and Sangyumong Ao from the 6th NAP bagged the first and second places, respectively.
In Carrom Women’s Singles, Liyuh from DEF Mon and Meilem from H&FW were declared winners, while K Wanghrong from the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) and P Hongjai Konyak from Nagaland Fire and Emergency Services (NFES) won the Men’s Singles.
In Women’s Doubles, Yeihying and Leye from DEF, and Nepe and Liyuh from DEF Mon won. In Men’s Double, Yanao and K Poman from DEF Mon and M Khongwang Konyak and Manyok L Konyak from the Power Department were placed in the first and second positions, respectively.
In Futsal, DEO Mon emerged as the winner and DEF Mon as the runner-up. In the individual categories, the Golden Ball was awarded to Themrieh from DEO, the Golden Boot to L Akai Konyak from DEO, and the Golden Glove to Atzing from DEF.
