DIMAPUR — Citing the deteriorating condition of National Highway-29 at KM 175.350, the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, has ordered the temporary closure of the affected stretch to all forms of vehicular traffic with immediate effect.
In an order issued on Sunday, the DC stated that the decision has been taken after a thorough assessment by the authorities concerned found that the continued use of the road section could lead to accidents and further landslides amid prevailing weather conditions.
All vehicular movement along the identified stretch will be prohibited until further notice, it stated.
