DIMAPUR — The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has welcomed the outcome of the second consultative meeting between the Nagaland Tribal Hohos Coordination Committee (NTHCC) and the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO), held on May 27 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.
In a press release, the confederation termed the resolution adopted during the meeting as a historic and significant step towards strengthening unity, brotherhood, and collective responsibility among the Nagas of Nagaland.
It stated that the coming together of all apex tribal bodies under a common platform reflects the long-cherished aspiration of the Nagas of Nagaland, which is finally taking shape through mutual understanding, cooperation, and the spirit of oneness.
“CNCCI firmly believes that this development is not merely the formation of another organisation, but a landmark moment in the collective journey of the Naga people towards greater unity and a shared common purpose built through sincere efforts, trust, and for the collective good of Nagaland,” it stated.

The CNCCI also expressed hope that, with the demands and aspirations of the ENPO now moving towards fulfilment through the tripartite Memorandum of Agreement signed between the Government of India, the Government of Nagaland, and the ENPO, the people of Nagaland will now collectively rise above any differences and work towards achieving an honourable and peaceful settlement of the Indo-Naga political talk, “which has become the foremost important collective issue above all for the Nagas.”
“While sharing in the jubilation of this positive development, CNCCI would also like to remind the present tribal leaders, who represent their respective people, that they carry a historic responsibility to facilitate an early Indo-Naga political settlement and ensure lasting peace, stability, and opportunities for the younger generations,” the confederation stated
The CNCCI also appealed to the NTHCC to remain vigilant against individuals or leaders who work solely for personal agenda, political survival, or vested interests, and who have consistently stood against Naga unity and the collective good of the people.
“CNCCI further cautions such individuals that history will judge their actions and posterity may not look kindly upon those who seek to divide rather than unite the Nagas at this critical point in history,” the release added.
