DIMAPUR — The Chief Medical Officer Office, Longleng, under the chairmanship of Dr. Tiasunep, CMO Longleng, held a district-level review meeting-cum-orientation on Routine Immunisation on Monday at the CMO conference hall, Longleng.
In the meeting, while welcoming the participants, Dr. Tiasunep appealed to take the opportunity for cross-learning within the district, especially on best practices, stated a press release.
He requested all to put more effort into improving those health indicators which are lagging behind despite their efforts. He mentioned that the review meeting is a good opportunity to reflect on the performance of the previous years and to plan for the coming days.

Dr. Imtijungshi Aier, DPO (Reproductive Child Health/Universal Immunisation Programme), presented and reviewed the Routine Immunisation status in the district, including the percentage of zero-dose children. He also highlighted the operational challenges in achieving immunisation coverage and reviewed Reproductive Child Health (RCH).
He requested all the participants to make efforts to assess the progress and strategise for the effective implementation of key health initiatives.
Dr. Imtijungshi Aier, DPO (RCH/UIP); Dr. Mannan Phom, DVPO; Dr. Imsongienla, Epidemiologist; Viroli Sangtam, DPM; Christina, VCCM; and Taula Phom, RBSK, gave presentations on Routine Immunisation, Reproductive Child Health, National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, and Health Management Information System. The session also included discussions on the challenges, opportunities, and the way forward.
