DIMAPUR — City Law College (CLC), Dimapur, on Friday held an interactive session with Anita Bafna, Supreme Court’s Advocate on Record (AOR) and author of a book on legal drafting ‘Courtroom Prayers,’ at its Moot Court Hall with the participation of principal, faculty and students.
An update from the college stated that the session was chaired by its principal, Dr. T Limanochet Jamir.
During the session, Anita spoke on her experiences as a litigation lawyer practitioner before joining the Supreme Court of India and the Bombay High Court. She guided the students on the process and preparation strategies for the Advocate on Record (AOR) examination, offering valuable tips to succeed in the test.
Encouraging the students to gain hands-on experience, Anita advised the students to begin their practice from local courts, emphasising that real courtroom exposure at the grassroots could build a strong foundation for a successful legal career. It added that she also donated her book to the college’s library.
It further stated that the faculty and students had the opportunity to engage directly with Anita.
