Chief Minister’s Mobile Operation Theatre: Free medical camp held at CHC Bhandari

DIMAPUR — As a part of Chief Minister’s Mobile Operation Theatre (CM-MOT), a one-day free surgical medical camp was conducted at CHC Bhandari, Wokha district, on Monday.


The inaugural programme of the surgical camp was attended by Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, MLA, as the chief guest, a DIPR report stated.


In his address, the MLA stated that CM-MOT is a state-led initiative launched on January 26, 2025, by the Governor of Nagaland with a commitment to improve healthcare access in the rural and remote areas of the state.


Dr. Rhutso expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for his visionary leadership, highlighting the mobile surgical camp's success in reaching and serving people across districts."


He informed the citizens to avail free healthcare schemes like PMJAY and CMHIS.

He also thanked MLA and chairman of SDPDB Bhandari, Achumbemo Kikon, for providing logistical support to the medical team, and appreciated the contributions of CHC staff, ADC Bhandari, 7th NAP personnel and NGOs.


Delivering the vote of thanks, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bhandari, Longasen Lotha, extended appreciation to medical team led by Dr. Rhutso for the tireless effort and dedication in providing healthcare services to underprivileged communities.


The programme, chaired by Dr. Caroline T, Senior Medical Officer of CHC Bhandari, also featured a short speech by David K, Bhandari town councillor.


A six-member medical team, led by Dr. Rhütso, comprising two laparoscopic surgeons, one general surgeon, one anaesthesiologist, and one dentist, provided comprehensive services including ultrasound, X-ray, endoscopy, blood testing, and surgeries.


It may be mentioned that the CM-MOT team has performed over 500 surgeries in 17 different locations across the district in Nagaland within a span of seven months.


In Bhandari sub-division, over 20 surgeries were performed and 53 OPD patients attended the medical camp.
