Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima organises Music Recital Project 2026

DIMAPUR — The children ministry and music ministry of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK) organised the “Music Recital Project 2026” at the church sanctuary on September 21 on the theme “Thankful, grateful”.

The event featured 19 performances by 83 students across piano, drums, violin, guitar, and voice courses. According to an update, the project is part of the preparations for the children ministry’s jubilee celebration in 2026.

The recital was attended by Surhuveyi Tetseo (LRSM), managing director of De Operattas Music Institute, Kohima.

In his address to the congregation, Tetseo emphasised the privilege of being able to sing and play music in praise of God. He encouraged the students to work diligently and seek their calling in life. He also urged parents to remain steadfast in supporting their children, especially during challenging times. Further, he reminded well-wishers and the church community that all good things come from the Lord.

Earlier, Khruhizo Dozo delivered the welcome address, while CBCK senior pastor Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh invoked God’s blessings.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Prelou Mero, and Rev. Vikou Rhi pronounced the benediction. The programme was compered by Wekhrope Akami.
