An update stated that the celebration highlighted St. Joseph as the patron saint of workers, craftsmen and labourers, providing a Christian context to May Day/ International Workers' Day. It honoured the dignity of human work and Joseph’s life as a carpenter.
It stated that Rev. Fr. C. Joseph, counselor of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, celebrated the Eucharist for the school children and encouraged deep devotion to St. Joseph, offering a spiritual model for workers.
