
Meritorious students and others during the felicitation
programme organised by the Zhadima Students' Union.
- DIMAPUR — The Zhadima Students' Union (ZSU)
held its annual felicitation programme for meritorious students of HSLC and
HSSLC examinations on May 31 at Zhadima community hall.
- Former ZSU president Vitseizolie Sorünuo, the keynote
speaker for the event, in his address, congratulated the students for their
achievements, noting that success does not come by chance but through
consistent hard work and dedication, an update stated.
- He urged students to remain focused on their studies and
strive for excellence. Emphasising the importance of values, Sorünuo encouraged
the youth to be obedient to their parents and to uphold their faith in God in
all their endeavours.
- A highlight of the event was the presentation of the ZSU
Presidential Scholarship, an initiative launched in 2024 to support deserving
students from the community.
- This year, two students were awarded the
scholarship.

- Achievers in the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC)
examinations, as well as other academic toppers, were also recognised for their
accomplishments.
- The formal felicitation programme was chaired by
Menuolhounuo Sanchu, women coordinator of ZSU. The event featured an invocation
prayer by Thejaselie Chüpuo and greetings by ZSU president Mhasizolie Metsieo.
- Exhortations were delivered by Neilalhoulie Soliezuo,
chairman of Zhadima Village Council, and Kekhrieseno Khoubve, who secured the
2nd rank in the 2024 NPSC CESE for Graduate Teacher (Science).
- As part of the day’s programme, the Children and Adolescent
Library was officially inaugurated by Sorünuo. The library was formally
dedicated by Rev. Thepfusalhou Khoubve, Pastor of AG Church, Zhadima Bawe.
- ZSU adviser Medolenuo Loucu, who chaired the preliminary
programme, gave an overview of the library initiative.
- The library project, implemented under the Special
Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI), 2023–24 from the Ministry
of Finance, was constructed with the aim of promoting a reading culture among
the younger generation.
