DIMAPUR — The Zeliangrong Heraka Association (ZHA), in collaboration with Janjati Vikas Samit Nagaland, conducted a free medical check-up and awareness camp in Tening village and Nsong town under Peren district on September 29 and 30.


An update from the association stated that the camps were organised in memory of Pautanzan Newmai, former general secretary of Zeliangrong Heraka Association, North East India (NEI). It stated that the multidisciplinary medical camp provided comprehensive health services to 509 patients.


Team of medical professionals included Dr. Kewithingwangbo, general surgeon and associate professor at AIIMS Guwahati; Dr. Ranguanjienglungle, assistant professor of Obs & gynaecology at Jorhat Medical College; Dr. Keyikawangbo, registered orthopaedic at Guwahati Medical College; Dr. Kairidibo, medical doctor at CISHR Hospital, Chümoukedima; Dr. Pauzieleubo, dental surgeon, Dimapur; and Dr. Ramwile, BDS, MDS at Vananchal Hospital, Ranchi.

It stated that thorough check-up including blood pressure, blood sugar and oxygen-pulse rate tests were provided during the camps. Besides, necessary medicines were distributed to the patients free of cost.


The association also stated that the CMO of Jalukie and MO of Tening have extended full cooperation and support towards the successful execution of the medical camps.


It mentioned that the event was a testament to the commitment of the Zeliangrong  Heraka  Association and Janjati Vikas Samit Nagaland towards promoting healthcare and well-being in the community.
