DIMAPUR — The Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union, Dimapur Government College (ENSUDGC) celebrated its 16th freshers’ day-cum-parting social on September 27 on the theme “Embracing new beginnings, celebrating a remarkable journey.”
An update from the union stated that K Chumseli Anar, BJYM state vice president and member of BJP state social media, attended the occasion as the guest speaker, while W Nginyeih Konyak, chairperson of Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW), was the special guest and Tsupithong Yimchunger, economics and statistics officer at the directorate of School Education, Kohima, was the guest of honour.

It stated that Lithrichem Sangtam and Muchoi W Lam were crowned Mr. and Miss Fresher ENSUDGC respectively, while Dumpilong Throngrü and Yukokla K won the titles of Mr and Miss Personality respectively and Pinlong and Juliet Konyak were named Mr. and Miss Empowerment.
It mentioned that the celebration marked the unity of the seven tribes as they warmly welcomed new members, while bidding farewell to the outgoing students.
