DIMAPUR — The Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) has condemned the recurrence of armed clashes between NSCN (IM) and Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) cadres at Taodaijang village in Noney district, Manipur, on August 27.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the organisation expressed anguish over the repeated incidents of fratricidal conflict, particularly in Zeliangrong-inhabited areas.
“It is highly regrettable and a damnation to fight against one’s brethren during this peace era while all Nagas are yearning for peace and progress,” the statement read.
It asserted that such violence not only undermines unity but also projects “foolishness in this hi-tech world arena” by attempting to annihilate one’s own people with no merit.
