- DIMAPUR — Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan on
Tuesday underscored the role of youth in India’s journey to becoming a
developed nation.
- “On our march towards Viksit Bharat or a developed India by
2047, India's young population is regarded as the nation's greatest asset in
achieving this goal,” the governor said.
- Ganesan was addressing the seventh convocation ceremony of
Nagaland University (NU) at its headquarters Lumami, Zunheboto district, the
university stated in a press release.
- He said the road to Viksit Bharat is supported by extensive
initiatives designed to promote inclusive growth, increase productivity, and
encourage sustainable development.
- “The quest for Viksit Bharat transcends governmental action,
it is a shared endeavour that calls upon every individual, business and
organisation to contribute to a more promising and prosperous future,” he said.
- The governor, who is also the chief rector of Nagaland
University, also mentioned that the Indian economy has significant potential
for growth in the coming years, which is both attainable and real.
