Fourteen-year-old Nagaland author Mishanli Easteryna Yanthan fulfilled her eight-year dream by visiting Canada's Royal Tyrrell Museum, a journey inspired by her passion for dinosaurs and funded through her writing.
DIMAPUR — A childhood dream nurtured over eight years became a reality on August 1, 2026, when 14-year-old Mishanli Easteryna Yanthan, a Grade 9 student of Hope Academy, Dimapur, and one of Nagaland's youngest published authors, visited the world-renowned Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada.
According to a DIPR report, Mishanli's dream began in 2018 when, at the age of six, she met Canadian visitor Julian Erb. During their conversation about dinosaurs, Erb introduced her to the Royal Tyrrell Museum for the first time.
Inspired by the museum and its significance, Mishanli resolved to one day visit it and fund the journey through her writing.

She went on to publish The Unforgettable Trip to Drumheller and Other Stories in 2020, followed by The Prehistoric Adventure in 2022.
The report added that both books were later procured by the Nagaland Education Mission Society under Samagra Shiksha, supporting and recognising her literary achievements.
