DIMAPUR — The Yimkhiung Youth Organisation (YYO) has formally requested the State Bank of India (SBI) Regional Office in Dimapur to urgently retain the field officer currently attached from the Kiphire branch to the Pungro branch.

In a letter addressed to the regional business officer, YYO highlighted the critical role of the field officer in addressing the unique banking needs of the Pungro community.

The organisation stated that the officer’s deep knowledge of local issues and client relationships is essential for ensuring efficient banking services in this remote and challenging area.

“The absence of the field officer has notably affected both the operational efficiency of the Pungro branch and the satisfaction of local customers,” the letter stated.

YYO appealed for swift action to facilitate the officer’s return to provide uninterrupted banking services and strengthen trust between the bank and the community.
