Western Yimkhiung Hoho holds installation programme for the tenure of 2026-29.

DIMAPUR — The Western Yimkhiung Hoho (WYH) has elected Akiumong Yimkhiung as its president for a second term for the tenure 2026-29 and Awung N Yimkhiung as the general secretary.
An update from WYH stated that the official handing and taking over of charge programme was held at the guest house of Yimkhiung Baptist Borü Amukhongto (YBBA) in Old Showuba village on Friday.
Speaking at the programme, the president called upon all the newly elected officials, executive members and all the officials to guide and contribute their services as and when needed by the people. He also appealed to all the newly inducted officials to contribute their time in discharging duties for the welfare of the people with utmost sincerity, faithfulness, accountability and transparency.

Speaking on behalf of the outgoing officials, Kiucham Yimchunger, former executive chairman, encouraged the newly elected officials to work together, walk hand-in-hand in order to lighten the burden even in the most difficult times. He also thanked all his former colleagues for their tireless sacrifices for the society.
Also speaking on the behalf of the newly inducted officials, Doki Yimkhiung, executive secretary, thanked the leaders for reposing their faith on them to serve the people. He assured the best in rendering their services for the cause of the union.
Hoping Kussen, GB and vhairman of the Old Showuba Village Council, urged the newly elected members to make good use of the technologies for better, faster and efficient discharging of their responsibilities. He further urged all the units to give unparalleled support to the WYH officials as and when they sought for cooperation.
