She spoke on the importance of mental health awareness, early identification of psychological distress, and the role of family, peers, and teachers in providing support.
She emphasised that talking openly about emotions and struggles can help break stigma and save lives. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and seeking help should never be seen as a weakness. Community participation, awareness, and timely interventions play a vital role in reducing the burden of mental illness and preventing suicide.
To further engage and sensitise the youth, a poster-making activity was conducted among students, where they creatively expressed messages of hope, resilience, and support.
The event aimed to encourage open dialogue on mental health and to strengthen the community’s role in supporting individuals in distress.
