The North East Zone Cultural Centre organised a musical event at the Stone Sculpture Garden to mark World Music Day

DIMAPUR — World Music Day is celebrated in over 120 countries through free concerts and street performances.
To mark this global occasion, the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) organised a musical event at the Stone Sculpture Garden, NEZCC, dedicated to supporting and promoting local musical talents from Nagaland.
The event featured erformances by three local artistes - Symphonia Band, Tiameren Aier, and First Fret Band.

Symphonia Band opened the event with a powerful rendition of a song in Sumi dialect, instantly winning over the crowd.
Tiameren Aier followed with his popular Ao-language tracks, including the hit Itaya Nungu, while First Fret Band energised the audience with soulful Hindi gospel numbers.
Organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the NEZCC aims to preserve and promote the diverse cultures and traditions of Northeast India as music plays a vital role in the cultural identity of Nagaland, and through such platforms, local artistes are given the opportunity to showcase their talents, connect with wider audiences, and gain much-needed exposure.
