- DIMAPUR — The
Medical Department, Wokha, conducted a special non-communicable disease (NCD)
screening drive at Saint Paul Catholic Church Wokha, Ao Baptist Church Wokha,
Tenyimia Baptist Church, Sumi Baptist Church, Tiyichan Baptist Church, and
Samyan Baptist Church Wokha.
- According to an update, this special screening campaign was
a directive from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of
India, with the aim of achieving 100% screening for hypertension and diabetes
in individuals aged 30 years and above, and reducing the burden of
non-communicable diseases in the country.

- Medical staff under the CMO, staff of Dr. Motsuo Memorial
District Hospital (DMMDH) Wokha, and Dr. N Mhonchan Kithan, medical
superintendent of DMMDH, participated in the campaign.
- Around 600 individuals were screened and treated. Dr. Aseno
Rhetso, District Programme Officer, NCD Wokha, expressed gratitude to the
parish priest of Saint Paul Catholic Church Wokha, reverends, pastors, women
leaders, youth director, CNY director, and church officials of various churches
for participating in the special screening campaign.
