Wokha District Bharat Scouts and Guides inducted new office bearers, appointing Dr. K Mhathung Tsanglao as district president.

WOKHA — The Wokha District Bharat Scouts & Guides (WDBS&G) formally inducted new office bearers during a ceremony held at the DC’s conference hall, Wokha, on June 1.
The programme began with the traditional Scouts & Guides prayer, followed by a welcome address by Raphael Zubonthung, District Education Officer and District Chief Commissioner of WDBS&G.
The induction was administered by T Zuchanthung Lotha, District Organising Commissioner, Wokha.
During the proceedings, Deputy Commissioner of Wokha Dr. K Mhathung Tsanglao was appointed as the district president, while Nchumbemo Jami, Senior Sub-Divisional Officer, assumed the role of district secretary.

In his address, the newly inducted district president highlighted the role of Scouts & Guides in shaping disciplined and service-oriented youth and pledged support to strengthen the movement in Wokha district.
The district secretary encouraged the establishment of more Scouts & Guides units in the district, particularly through the involvement of private schools. The ceremony also featured a special presentation by Cistus School Scouts & Guides.
Awards were presented to Zuben Tsopoe, Scout Master of Cistus School, for best unit leader; Areni Humtsoe, Guide Captain of LMS, for best unit leader; and Cistus School, Wokha, for best unit.
