Wokha district bids farewell to outgoing deputy commissioner; welcomes new deputy commissioner.

DIMAPUR — A farewell programme for the outgoing Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Wokha, Vineet Kumar, and welcoming ceremony for the new Deputy Commissioner, K Mhathung Tsanglao, was held at the DC’s conference hall in Wokha town on Friday.
In his farewell speech, Vineet Kumar expressed gratitude to the people of Wokha for their love, kindness and support during his tenure. He acknowledged the cooperation extended by government departments, civil society organisations and the staff of the DC office, noting that successful execution of works were made possible only through collective effort.
A DIPR report stated that the outgoing DC also thanked the four elected legislators of Wokha district for their guidance and support. Kumar described his stay in Wokha as a cherished memory that would remain in his heart. He further conveyed best wishes to his successor and expressed hoped that the new DC would have a smooth tenure.

Incoming Deputy Commissioner, Mhathung Tsanglao, who previously served as DC Meluri, has thanked Vineet Kumar for his service and contributions towards the district. He assured that the people of Wokha would forever cherish his good works.
Tsanglao also expressed gratitude for the warm welcome accorded to him and pledged to serve the people of Wokha with sincerity and commitment. He further sought cooperation from all head of departments, civil society organisations and stakeholders for smooth administration and affirmed his dedication for the uplift and progress of the district.
Speeches were also delivered by ADC headquarters Renbomo Ezung; ADC of Bhandari, Longasen; DPRO of Wokha, Lolano Patton; chairman of Lotha Hoho, Mhondamo Ovung among others.
Vineet Kumar has been transferred and posted as additional secretary of Finance and IDAN.
The programme was chaired by EAC Wokha, Sangmou Khiamniungan, who also delivered the vote of thanks.
