Vivekananda Welfare Foundation, and Medanta – The Medicity organised a free health check-up camp at NECU campus in Dimapur, benefitting over 210 patients.
DIMAPUR — The Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF), in collaboration with Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram, conducted a free health check-up camp on August 9 at the campus of North East Christian University (NECU), East Block, Burma Camp, Dimapur.
The camp was organised with the support of NECU with the objective of promoting preventive healthcare and strengthening community outreach.
According to an update, more than 210 patients, including nursing students of NECU and residents of the surrounding Burma Camp area, registered for the camp and availed themselves of the free medical services.
The health camp provided a range of screening and diagnostic services, including specialist consultations by an MD doctor, blood pressure check-ups, random blood sugar testing, ECG, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing, and Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs). Free medicines were also provided to all the patients.

The medical team from Medanta was led by Dr. Rupak Das and included nurses Suzy Hazel Pyngrope, Darika, and Monica, along with three technicians.
The medical team conducted consultations, diagnostic tests, and health assessments throughout the camp.
Volunteers of PRATIBHA, the free educational initiative of VWF, also played an important role in managing community members and assisting the medical and technical teams.
Speaking on the occasion, Niranjan Saha, Founder and Director of VWF, expressed his gratitude to the entire Medanta team for providing their professional services and dedicating their time to the community.
