Vianney League 2025 Football Tournament kicks off at Good Shepherd Seminary Dimapur

DIMAPUR — The Vianney League 2025 Football Tournament commenced at Good Shepherd Seminary (GSS), Thahekhu, Dimapur, on July 19.

According to an update, the tournament was officially kicked off by Rev. Fr. C Joseph, Counsellor, St. Joseph College (Autonomous), Jakhama.

At the inauguration, the rector of the seminary wished the players the best of luck and reminded them of their passion for the game and their personal goals to reignite their motivation.

The final will be played on August 4 at 8:30 am at the GSS football ground to mark the feast day of Vianney, a French Catholic priest known for his priestly and pastoral work in his parish in Ars, France, which resulted in the radical spiritual transformation of the community and its surroundings.
