DIMAPUR — The Placement Cell of the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Jalukie, on Wednesday organised a career counseling-cum-motivational talk on ‘Career in pharmaceutical industry.’
An update from the college stated that the programme was conducted under the leadership of Dr. I Shankuntala, Dean of the College, with Dr. Rabin Nath, technical executive of Virbac Animal Health Pvt. Ltd., as the resource person.
It stated that Dr. Nath delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the various job opportunities and career prospects available in the pharmaceutical industry for veterinary graduates. In addition to career guidance, he delivered a technical lecture on the management of mastitis, which was highly informative and well-received by the students.

The programme began with a welcome address delivered by Prof. SK Borthakur, in-charge of the Placement Cell, who underlined the importance of such industry-academia interactions.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Bhabesh Mili and Dr. Tukheswar Chutia, who ensured its smooth conduct. It further stated that the session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 4th year students and faculty members, contributing to its overall success and impact.
