
Youth delegates, clergy, and choir members gather at Mary
Help of Christians Cathedral, Kohima, for the conclusion of the veneration of
the regional youth convention cross on Sunday.
- DIMAPUR — The
veneration of the regional youth convention (RYC) cross concluded on Sunday at
Mary Help of Christians Cathedral, Kohima.
- The RYC Cross, part of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement
North East (ICYM NE), was venerated by youth from fourteen dioceses across
Northeast India, according to an update.

- The initiative aimed to bring young people together in
prayer and reflection ahead of the 5th regional youth convention, scheduled to
take place from June 27 to the 30th on the theme “Pilgrims of hope”.
- The event included a procession and the reception of the RYC
Cross by the Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM), preceded by adoration.
Rev. Fr. John Barman, regional youth director, was the main celebrant, and Rev.
Fr. Kokto Kurian, director of NCYM, was the concelebrant.
- Approximately 300 youths from Kohima and nearby areas, along
with members of the ICYM NE team, attended the programme.
