VC Peducha and Mez & Co win men's and women's titles, respectively, at the 3rd Nagaland Inter-Open Volleyball Tournament in Kezo Town.

KOHIMA — Volleyball Club (VC) Peducha and Mez & Co., Kohima, won the men’s and women’s titles, respectively, at the third edition of the Nagaland Inter-Open Volleyball Tournament held at the local ground, Kezo town, on January 14.
The two-day tournament was organised by BKK Kezo Town under Kohima district, with a total of 26 teams participating, comprising 17 men’s teams and nine women’s teams.
In the men’s category, champions VC Peducha received a cash prize of INR 50,000 along with the running trophy. The runners-up, Chienino Brothers, Kiruphema, received INR 30,000. The semi-finalists were BKK Kezo Town and Tama Youth Society.

Sedzievilie Suohumvü was adjudged best setter, while Kepelhoukho Vielie was awarded best spiker; both are from VC Peducha.
In the women’s category, Mez & Co., Kohima, lifted the champion title and was awarded INR 50,000, while the runners-up, Kidima Youth Organisation, received INR 30,000. The semi-finalists were Phesama Youth Organisation and Musketeers VC, Pfütsero, who also received cash awards.
Linovi Awomi was adjudged best setter, and Nilivi Achumi was awarded best spiker; both are from Mez & Co, Kohima.
Tepunol Yore, district project officer, Land Resources department, and president of the Southern Angami Gazetted Officers’ Krotho (SAGOK), attended the closing ceremony as the valedictory guest. He handed over the prizes to the winners.
Earlier, Kethoshe Chuzho, entrepreneur and general secretary, Central Youth Wing NPF, and Kelhousilie Rutsa attended as match patrons for the men’s semi-finals, while Limakumla Pongener, EAC Kezocha, and Zakivole Visa, legal officer NPWD, attended as match patrons for the women’s semi-finals.
