Urban Company plans to recruit 50–100 professionals from Nagaland every month, offering free training, accommodation, travel support and job placement in Tier-1 cities.

DIMAPUR — Urban Company, a home-services platform, is seeking to recruit and facilitate the migration of 50 to 100 professionals from Nagaland every month to work in Tier-1 cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi.
This was announced by Sanjukta Bagchi, Associate Director of Urban Company during press conference at Youth Net office, 4th Mile, Chümoukedima, on Tuesday.
Bagchi informed that the company currently has around 300–400 professionals from Nagaland and over 3,000–4,000 from the Northeast working in Tier-1 cities.
The company has more than 50,000 professional’s nationwide, and over 10,000 professional in the beauty and wellness segment.
The recruitment initiative focuses on empowering women by providing free training, accommodation and travel support, followed by 100% job placement.
Women aged 18 to 40 can apply, with no specific educational qualification required. Selected candidates will undergo two months of training in the respective cities.

According to the company, starting earnings are expected to be around INR 40,000– INR 50,000 per month, with scope for higher earnings based on work.
Health insurance coverage of up to INR 2 lakh is also provided.
Bagchi said candidates undergo screening test, which can be conducted online or offline. The company also provides travel assistance from Dimapur and support throughout the relocation and training process.
The company said its beauty and wellness services are strictly female-to-female, with safety measures including SOS facilities and the option for professionals to cancel orders they consider suspicious.
Urban Company plans to expand recruitment across the state. District outreach programmes are scheduled in Tuensang, Longleng, Zunheboto and Mokokchung.
