Unity Circle Club to organise two-day ‘Dandiya Night’ in Dimapur from September 29

DIMAPUR — Dimapur is gearing up for ‘Dandiya Night,’ a two-day cultural extravaganza, at Lions Centre in Dimapur on September 28 and the 29th.

Dandiya Night is organised by Unity Circle Club in collaboration with Lions Club Champion and support from Lions Club Blue Venda.

This was announced by Chairperson of Lions Club Blue Venda, Sunita Sharma during a press conference held at Hotel Europa Inn Dimapur on Monday. She said that the two days event will feature four dynamic DJs: Vishakha, Jeff, Bella, and Shree.

She added that the festivities will feature live dhol performances as well as Garba Aarti and the event will start from 6 pm till 10 pm.

Exciting contests, including Best Group Dance and Best Dandiya Dancer, will be held, along with prizes for the best dressed in both kids and adults categories.

The judging panel will include a local expert and a special guest from Gujarat, bringing authenticity to the Garba tradition.

The organisers also informed that free dandiya sticks will be provided to all participants while the entry tickets have been designed to be accessible: a two-day entry pass is priced at INR 399, while a special women’s pass admits four women for INR 499. Only 400 of these passes are available.

The organisers assured robust security measures to provide a safe environment, especially for women attendees. To keep the festive mood vibrant, the venue will showcase unique decorations each evening, multiple selfie booths, and a wide variety of food stalls.

The event is powered by Rollick Ice Cream and co-powered by Rajesh Kumar Sethi, with the second evening featuring Gieendale’s Season 2 of Dandiya & Garba Night.
