Tsurenshe crowned Miss Kiphire 2025

KIPHIRE — Tsurenshe L was crowned Miss Kiphire 2025 in a glittering ceremony held at the auditorium of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) in Kiphire town on September 27 evening on the theme “Where grace meets strength.”

Shangzila Yingpithong was conferred the first runner-up title, while Rachel Y Sangtam won the second runner-up title.

Col. Vikee Lamoria, commandant of 41 Assam Rifles, Kiphire, was the special guest. Speaking on the occasion, Col. Lamoria acknowledged the love and respect shown to the Assam Rifles and highlighted their efforts in supporting and motivating the youth of the district.

“Over the years, the Assam Rifles have introduced several opportunities, incentives, and projects such as physical and academic training for recruitment into the defense forces, distribution of sports equipment to villages and organising national integration tours,” Col. Lamoria said.

He shared that two tour programmes were recently conducted for the students of Zisaji Presidency College and Yangpi PM Shri Government High School to Agra and Delhi. He added that the trips gave students their first experience of train and metro travel, watching a movie in multiplex and visiting historical monuments.

A special highlight was the opportunity to interact with the President of India, which he believed would inspire the students to dream bigger and work towards success.

Speaking on Miss Kiphire 2025, Col. Lamoria termed the event as an excellent and unique platform for the youth. He was of the opinion that true value of the pageant lies not in glamour but in building courage and confidence. He encouraged the contestants by reminding them that they are already winners by stepping onto the stage. While crowns and titles are important, he further emphasised that the confidence and bravery gained through such participation would have a lasting positive impact on their lives.

The event concluded with crowning of Miss Kiphire 2025 amid loud cheers, celebrating talent and aspirations of the young women of Kiphire.
