KIPHIRE — The Miss Kiphire Pageant 2025 will be held on September 27 in Kiphire. The event is being organised by Stargazer Events in collaboration with the Kiphire district administration, under the aegis of the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN).
Convenor of the organising committee, Thsaliba Sangtam, said during an interaction that the main objective of the pageant is to promote cultural awareness, showcase the talent and beauty of local participants, and empower young women.
The event also aims to build confidence, improve communication skills, and provide a platform for the youth to share their cultural heritage. Thsaliba explained that pageants help young women gain leadership qualities, take part in community service, and grow personally and socially.

It was mentioned that this year’s pageant faced challenges such as coordinating with different groups, managing logistics, and ensuring safety guidelines. Budget limits and short timelines also required careful planning.
To ensure fairness, the committee set clear eligibility rules, selected judges with diverse experience, and conducted transparent auditions and screenings. Judges assessed participants on beauty, poise, confidence, talent, intelligence, cultural representation, and communication skills.
On the cultural and social impact, Thsaliba said glamour should support culture, not overshadow it. Contestants will wear traditional attire, promote local art and skills, and represent their culture with pride. He added that pageants like Miss Kiphire can also be strong platforms to discuss social issues, inspire dialogue, and encourage positive change.
Looking to the future, secretary Albert Jingru said the pageant will focus more on inclusivity, sustainability, mental health, digital engagement, and stronger cultural representation.
