
Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa along with the officials and
participants during training on Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in
Society in Tuensang town on Tuesday.
- DIMAPUR — Training
on Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society (ULLAS) for volunteer
teachers under the department of School Education was held at town hall in
Tuensang on Tuesday.
- Addressing the participants, the deputy commissioner (DC) of
Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, thanked all the teachers for their active
participation in the training programme. She urged the trainees to make good
use of the training programme by imparting basic education to the illiterate
elders in village.

- “Teachers are giving an important additional responsibility
to educate the school dropout adult as well as illiterate elders of the village
some basic education in English from all background, who missed formal
schooling,” she said.
- The DC also urged the participants to strive hard and make
Tuensang as one of the highest literate districts in the state.
- The welcome address was delivered by (AE) DEO of Tuensang, A
Mongtsoa, while the keynote address was delivered by state programme
co-ordinator of ULLAS, I Toshi Ao.
- Video screening was led by Tongjen Shio, TOT of EBRC,
Hakushang.
- The programme was chaired by supervisor, Likhumse Sangtam,
and the vote of thanks was delivered by supervisor DEO, R Nokrenba Chang.
- The training was attended by more than 90 participants from
Noksen block, Chare block, Longkhim block, Sangsangnyu block, Chessore block
and Shamator block.
