DIMAPUR — The State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Kohima, organised district-level training on Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 2.0 for officials of line departments and block development officers (BDOs) on September 29 at Tiyi Hall, Wokha.
The training programme was led by Course Director Principal, Extension Training Centre (ETC), Phek, Suohienuo Keyho; senior lecturer and consultant, SIRD, Dr. Chekhupru Nyekha; and consultant, SIRD, Vepo Keyho, a DIPR report stated.
The event commenced with a welcome address by principal of ETC Phek, followed by an inaugural note delivered by Project Officer, DRDA Wokha, Ekonthung Ngullie,

Participants were introduced to the framework of PAI 2.0, developed under the Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA).
The initiative aims to strengthen local governance by evaluating and enhancing the performance of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) through a set of measurable indicators. The mission is to promote transparent, accountable, and inclusive rural governance.
The training concluded with a post-assessment of participants, marking the successful completion of the programme.
