Health officials and participants during the training on routine maintenance of rooftop Solar PV installation and Saura-eMitra in Mokokchung.


DIMAPUR — Training on routine maintenance of rooftop Solar PV installation and Saura-eMitra, organised by NPCCHH and SELCO Foundation under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, was successfully conducted on August 6 and 7 at the conference hall of the chief medical officer (CMO) in Mokokchung town.


The training was conducted in the presence of Dr. Nyanthung Kikon, state nodal officer of NPCCHH; Dr. Nounengulie Kire, consultant; Tsukjemsangla, consultant at NPCCHH; Dr. S Marina Yaden, CMO of Mokokchung; and Dr. Takusunep, deputy CMO of Mokokchung.

An update from the CMO stated that the inaugural programme was chaired by Dr. Martula, DVBO & DSO, and S Jongtosang, district pharmacy officer of Mokokchung, while Imkongsungla Jamir, project coordinator of SELCO Foundation, DoHFW, Kohima, introduced SELCO Foundation, its initiatives and overview of the training programme.


In her keynote address, Dr. Marina Yaden thanked the SELCO Foundation and NPCCHH for the much needed initiative. She has termed solarisation of health units in the district as a privilege and encouraged the participants to maintain their health units in alliance with the goal of a sustainable future.


Dr. Nyanthung Kikon thanked SELCO Foundation for the life changing initiative and encouraged the participants to equip themselves with all the knowledge offered during the training.


The training was facilitated by Imlisunep, who trained the participants on the importance of routine maintenance of Solar PV, the basics of Solar PV system and its components and routine maintenance of solar panels.


The training was organised to enlighten the participants with fundamental understanding of Solar PV system, routine inspection procedures, and maintenance practices and also on incidental management system.


It informed that similar programme would be conducted in Mangkolemba on August 8 to train the health staff from Mangkolemba, Alongkima and Tsurangkong blocks.
