DIMAPUR — The first phase of training for Civil Defence Wardens and Volunteers concluded at Town Hall, Tuensang, on November 25 under the supervision of the Office of District Commandant Home Guards, Civil Defence, and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Tuensang.


According to a DIPR report, the programme focused on enhancing participants’ lifesaving competencies, which included advanced first aid, effective fire suppression techniques, and streamlined evacuation management.

The training also underscored the importance of Incident Command and Control protocols, aimed at ensuring coordinated and efficient emergency response operations in times of disaster.


The training concluded with Lidila Jinger, district commandant, expressing her appreciation to all participants for their dedication and active involvement.


Training in Chozuba


Meanwhile, the training for Civil Defence Wardens and Volunteers for the Chozuba Sub-Division under Phek district is scheduled from November 28 to December 4 at Vamuzo Memorial Town Hall.


Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Diana Patton has issued a notification directing the participants to submit their Aadhaar Card and one passport photo on the first day of the scheduled training.
