Mokokchung administration announces traffic restrictions and diversions for heavy vehicles from December 11 to 14 due to road repair work.

MOKOKCHUNG — Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung Ajit Kumar Verma issued a circular on Wednesday informing that road repair work has commenced along the stretch from Rotary Junction to Heritage Wall (IOC) Junction in Mokokchung town.
According to the order, the road will remain closed to all heavy vehicles--including pick-up vans, trucks, and buses—from December 11 to the 14th, between 8 am and 5 pm each day.
To ensure the smooth flow of traffic, light vehicles will be diverted through alternate routes as follows: December 11: From Dispensary, Salangtem Ward, via Dilong Ward, through Main Police Point; December 12 and 13: From Kichutip Ward Junction via Salangtem Ward; and December 14: No entry from IOC Junction to Kichutip Junction.

The deputy commissioner stated that some inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians is expected during the repair period and urged all commuters to cooperate with the district administration and the workers involved, stating that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve road conditions in Mokokchung for public benefit.
“Your patience and support are highly appreciated,” the circular stated.
