Traffic regulations issued in Kohima for Nagaland Wrestling Association Championship 2026 at Khuochiezie Local Ground on March 7.

DIMAPUR — The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, issued a traffic regulation order for March 7 in view of the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) Championship 2026 at Khuochiezie Local Ground.
According to the order issued by B Henok Buchem, Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, the route from Y-Junction (Phoolbari) to South Gate will remain one-way traffic. The Local Ground Bypass will be closed for public thoroughfare, and only vehicles with car passes issued by the organisers will be allowed.
The order stated that the route from DC Office Junction to South Gate will also be converted to one-way traffic. Vehicles entering from D-Block or Y-Junction must exit via the DC Office or Assam Rifles Gate. One-sided parking will be permitted depending on the availability of parking space.
Guests and attendees arriving from neighbouring districts or other parts of Kohima have been advised to park vehicles in designated areas to reduce town traffic.

Parking spaces have been indicated on NH-29, Ladies Mile Road and Kohima Science College Road in the west and from High School Junction up to Keziekie in the north.
Parking areas have also been identified in the south, including NH-2 from Box Cutting Junction to Classic Island Junction, the Kohima Law College area and PR Hill MLCP. In the east, parking spaces are available in Kiyake, BSF Camp, Seikhazou, Kitsubozou and the DBHS area.
In the main town area, parking spaces are available from TCP Gate to Razhu Point via NST and NST MLCP. For City Centre/MLCP parking, vehicles are to enter through DC Office Junction and exit through Phoolbari only.
Drivers have been advised to display contact numbers on the vehicle windshield. Attendees from Kohima town have been requested to avoid personal vehicles, and the general public has been advised to avoid non-essential travel within the town area.
The order stated that indiscriminate parking will be treated as a traffic rule violation, and vehicles will be towed at the expense of the owners. Authorities will not be liable for damages caused during towing.
