NWA team arrives in Imphal to participate in the 1st Northeast Indigenous Games and demonstrate Naga Wrestling.

DIMAPUR — An eight-member team from the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) reached Imphal to participate in the 1st Northeast Indigenous Games, scheduled from February 23 to the 25th.
The event is being held under the aegis of the All Manipur United Clubs Organisation (AMUCO) and the Manipur Students Federation (MSF), according to an update.
The NWA team will demonstrate and participate in Naga Wrestling, where a number of wrestlers from Manipur and beyond are expected to join team Nagaland. The participation aimed at "building up the intimate relation between the two states and also promoting the Naga Wrestling beyond the state of Nagaland".

The statement mentioned that Naga Wrestling was recognised as a "National medal event" and was first played at Goa from January 12 to the 14th this year. It added that the sport is "taking forward to the international arena in its next subsequent championships".
The NWA team includes President Vivolie Kezo as team director, the property secretary as team manager, and Seyielhoukho Sechü as referee. The wrestler squad includes Süthito Rhakho (96 kg), Khrükuzo Nyekha (90 kg), Kedosie Nagi (85 kg), and Seyiezhatuo Sano (70 kg), accompanied by Pitsali Sangtam (driver).
