DIMAPUR — The office of the district commandant, Home Guards, Civil Defence and State Disaster Response Force, Phek, in collaboration with Phek Traffic Police, on Thursday conducted a one-day training course on traffic control in Phek town.


The training course aimed to enhance coordination and preparedness in managing traffic situations effectively, ensure public safety, and strengthen community services, stated an update.


Khuza Jurry, SDPO Phek, addressed the introductory session and commended the organisers for conducting such a training programme. Imener Yaden, platoon commander, shared the overview and objectives of the training.

Unarmed Branch Inspector (UBI) Mangtinlum Singson, OC Phek Police Station, spoke on road traffic regulation and road safety, as well as the Motor Vehicles Act. The traffic cell team provided both theory and practical classes, while Zakhrielie led the practical demonstration.


The training programme covered traffic duties and regulation, traffic signals, road signs, parking and non-parking, accident response, radio telephony set communication, and more.
