Nagaland Tourism department conducts a tourism awareness and sensitisation programme at Lephori village in Meluri.

DIMAPUR — The Department of Tourism organised a one-day tourism awareness training-cum-sensitisation programme at Lephori village, Meluri, on October 2.
The training aimed to create awareness of responsible tourism, build local capacity in tour operation and guiding, and explore the potential of homestay and community-based tourism in the region, according to a press release.
Village Council Chairman of Lephori Village Nyojitho Pojar delivered the welcome note, followed by the keynote address by Senior Tourist Officer of Meluri S Peter Trakha.
Technical sessions were conducted by Veshehü Kezo, proprietor of Tribal Odyssey and General Secretary of the Nagaland Tourism Association (NTA), on 'Introduction to tourism and tour guiding', and Vimeto Vakha, President of NTA and proprietor of Adobe Venture, on 'Community-based tourism'.
The programme witnessed participation from the local youth of Lephori and Reguri villages and village stakeholders, highlighting the interest in tourism and promoting the region as an emerging destination in Nagaland.
Following the technical sessions, the stakeholders led the team to visit the recently inaugurated viewpoint inside the Khrokhropfü Wildlife Sanctuary.
